Congratulations for choosing a Speedmaster. I've learned that the shapes/finishes on its case and bracelet will pick up minor signs of use, but I don't think it takes away from the appeal of the watch. It's a tool watch, and it's meant to be used. Also, regular maintenance by qualified technicians will include restoration of the finish, if you indicate to them this is what you want.
